The brain is the center of any activity of our body. It is very sensitive that it gets affected by everything that happens around us. Anything going on around you will activate an area of your brain, and the more your brain is activated, the better its health is. If you want to make your brain active you must consider doing one of these 10 things that will increase your brain’s activity.

1- BE ACTIVE FOR 15 MINUTES

Being active will not only pump your blood and wake up your muscles, but it will also push your brain to send lots of commands for your body to produce different hormones that are beneficial for your body and brain.

2- READ

Reading exposes your brain to lots of words and activates many areas of it especially the creativity areas if you are reading novels. Your brain will create images to associate them with the words you are reading.

3- LEARN NEW VOCABULARY

Reading exposes you to lots of new vocabulary, and you can do so by yourself, by learning a new word every day. Learning activates many areas of the brain as lots of new concepts are being introduced to it.

4- LAUGH

Laugh creates lots of good hormones and positive feelings, this is because your brain is activated and your body is choked by something humorous which reaction towards it is to laugh.

5- HAVE A CHAT WITH A FRIEND

Chatting with your friend surely activates your brain. When you talk with someone you love, you will feel relaxed and happy. You will also try to recall some information to be able to form stories or sentences to share with your friend. Also, when you friend is sharing their thoughts and ideas with you, your brain works on processing their words and stories for you to understand. Some emotions might come to life, you could laugh, get emotional, or be excited. All of this process activates your brain.

6- LISTEN TO MUSIC

Music creates lots of connections in our brains. If it is a song you like, you will notice that you are excited or happy to hear it. It could bring you memories, and you could recall its words and sing along with them.

7- EAT

Food brings lots of sensations to your body and brain. The tastes you experience could be good or bad and it is your brain that helps you assess that feeling. Taste is one of your 5 senses, and senses are directly felt by and connected to the brain.

8- READ OR SPELL OUT A PARAGRAPH IN A NEW LANGUAGE

Learning a new language means introducing new concepts to your brain this will help activate it and increase its activity.

9- WATCH A MOVIE OR A DOCUMENTARY

Watching a movie is like reading a book, it exposes you to emotions, news visuals and can teach you something new.

10- ALLOW SOMEONE TO CHALLENGE YOU

When you are challenged, your brain is activated as it could feel threatened and it will put lots of effort to protect itself.
