8 MEMORY PROBLEMS THAT YOU WOULD CONFUSE WITH ALZHEIMER’S

Many times you might think that you have Alzheimer’s due to forgetting some things. Most of the time your fear is not in their place as what you went through could be normal. To calm your fears down, we will expose in this article 10 memory problems that are usually confused with Alzheimer's. Read on.

1- LOSING THE CAR KEYS

If you find yourself frequently in a room other than the other, or if you keep losing important things like your car keys, wallet, or even your phone, this still doesn’t mean you have Alzheimer's. Some untreated issues such as depression or anxiety can lead to this forgetfulness.

2- DEPRESSION

Some of the depression’s symptoms are similar to the ones of Alzheimer's. However, do not let your depression worsen by feeding your brain negative thoughts such as thinking that you might have a brain disease. Work on treating your depression and your fear of Alzheimer's will vanish.

3- LYME DISEASE

Lime disease could also cause some memory issues and trouble in finding the right word or even slowing down your thinking. Check with your doctor to identify the origin of your mental issues.

4- VITAMIN DEFICIENCY

Some vitamin deficiency could be behind some memory issues rather than having serious problems like Alzheimer's. Vitamin B deficiency can have similar effects to Alzheimer’s disease and can be very common for older people which makes it more confusable with memory problems. Treating the deficiency will clear your doubts.

5- DIABETES

Diabetes can lead to chronic or acute memory problems. Your body is not having the right balance of blood sugar and insulin. If your levels of blood sugar are too low your body won’t have enough energy to operate. This could bring chaos to your body and might make you experience some forgetfulness. If you have diabetes, no need to mix it with memory problems.

6- SLEEPING PROBLEMS

Not sleeping well can lead to some memory problems. Memory is affected by both poor sleep quality and a low number of sleeping hours. Much research has shown that poor sleep can lead to major memory problems that could be confused with some memory diseases such as Alzheimer's. If you are dealing with such issues, stop for a second and ask yourself if you are sleeping well enough or not.

7- A BRAIN TUMOR

Brain tumors are a very serious disease that could also lead to some symptoms similar to Alzheimer's. While nobody would like to hear that they might have a brain tumor, checking yourself and the health of your brain is totally recommended.

8- THE OVERUSE OF ALCOHOL

Drinking too much in one session can lead to drunkenness and memory blackouts. This can also happen after only a few drinks. However, over time, drinking too much can lead to memory problems. Therefore, if you are experiencing memory issues, assess your drinking habits and try to slow it down. The good news is that drinking moderately for one year can bring your memory back on track.
